Yep. Something along the lines of Wire saying: "Well, we've known each other since we were all 5...saying we were going to sell 16 million copies was just the greatest rock folly of modern times...I have a politics degree...so much great footage on there...we were young and naiive...Richey never even had a mobile phone."

And the most important bit too of course:

"NME was so important to us. NME were an inspiration. Being on the front cover of the NME was the best thing in the world. We just love these awards, especially those from the NME."

Would still watch it though

That's exactly what he's going to say. You could be his press officer

So true.

As for the fan community nomination, have the NME been spying on FD or something? Guess all the threads criticising various songs/albums are looked on more favourably by them than the band then

Serious, this made me chuckle because it's a fact Nicky would say all of that. Again. And again. I hope they win some stuff though, that'd be nice

Just voted for 'em in both categories, they better win, no one beats Manics fans! On a (somewhat) unrelated note I have decided to dress up as a Manic for my friends fancy dress party. The themes faveourite character but ah well, I doubt anyone there will know exactly who Nicky is!
