Question Upcoming gig format

Was wondering what you thought the format for the upcoming gigs might be?

They are playing smaller more intimate venues and the album has virtually no electric guitar, so are we pretty much looking at an acoustic gig, with acoustic versions of the non rewind songs?

Or do you think once they have done playing the album tracks James will plug in the old les paul and bring the house down with some noise?

As far as I'm aware we have no idea what they will be?

Could be done acoustic/electric, they have done that kind of thing in the past - or they could have an electric part and an acoustic part.

Quite. For all we know, Sean could do the whole thing on kazoo

Now that would make me think my ticket money is well spent! Porno-tache-Sean alternating between kazoo and trumpet while James twiddles on an acoustic and Wire does eurythmic dance moves in a pink mini skirt! Ah, a girl can dream!

Public Service Broadcasting are supporting, what i've heard from them is fairly loud. If they were doing mostly acoustic gigs i'd expect a quieter support, like the guy out of Starsailor again or something

From Nicky's interview on XFM (I think) he sounded as if it may be more intimate and more acoustic in general.

I've seen James say in interviews that he's having to get used to playing a lot of songs on an acoustic guitar, and I took that to mean more than just the tracks from the new album.

I'm hoping for a mostly acoustic set, and maybe they break out the electric guitars for the last 6-8 songs. Think it would be really, really interesting to see them reinterpret older material in a full band acoustic stylee.

I'd like to see them mix it up like that... but then I remember the full-band acoustic Faster.

One of a number of songs that always worked better electric, along with The Everlasting, This is Yesterday and Archives of Pain
