02/06/2014 Rock In Idro Festival, Italy

Don't know what I'm surprised about more - a music festival on a Monday or the lack of a mention on here! Manics have already done their set and Manic Street Mania have posted pictures on Facebook. Anyone go or know what set was played?

Motorcycle emptiness
You stole the sun from my heart
Everything must go
Europa Geht Durch Mich
Your love alone is not enough
Ocean spray
You love us
A design for life
Tsunami
Walk me to the bridge
If You tolerate this your children will be next

Nice one FTS - glad they played EGDM & WMTTB. Looked like they were on quite low on the bill judging by the pictures.

I know that Monday seems a strange choice of day for a festival but in Italy the 2th of June is a national holiday. Anyway I wasn't there because I knew they would have played a very short setlist in the afternoon and I really don't like festival.

To be fair the FD Twitter account was tweeting about it earlier this evening.

From photos I've seen, James looks like he's wearing Billie Joe Armstrong's outfits from the American Idiot era

I am just back from Bologna. Nice gig and I must say that I was quite surprised at hearing people sing the songs with the Manics. There were more Manics fans than I expected. A guy behind me kept on shouting "Autumnsong" and the Manics pretended not to hear him . It goes without saying that they didn't play it.

I should have a couple of pictures but I will post them tomorrow. Now to bed because I am devastated, burnt and I have to get up at 6.30.

Good night.

Here you have a couple of pictures. This time I was on Nicky's side of the stage so I could finally take pictures of him. He was as cool as ever.

I was in the second raw. I arrived at 11.30, 45 minutes queue and then they let us in. The Manics strated palying more or less at 18.00. There was some technical problem so they started a little later than planned and had to give up one song (SMTW was in the set list but they didn't play it). We had to wait long but there were other bands playing before them, so time went by quickly.

No VIP ticket for me: rock & roll is sweat and dust .

I left after the Manics gig so I missed Biffy Clyro, Pixies and Queens of the Stone Age.

Pity you were not there!
