19 year after their last gig in County Cork, It will be nice to have them back. Pity it's not their own gig in the city itself. Hopefully going to make it up there for the night anyway.

The festival is OK, a bit on the teenybopper side.

The Coronas are putrid and have no place anywhere near the manics on a poster.

Louise Duffy on Today FM this evening said that the Manics played the Olympia last night.....at least that is what I heard her say

I think she was two years out of date!!!

Yup - just checked on listen back and that is exactly what she said......she is wrong right? I didn't miss something

Keep the party going at Indiependence!

Good luck with the wedding btw.

Not sure how fast weekend tickets for this will sell out. I know it usually sells out eventually but not sure how fast. I need to have a think! At least campervan tickets aren't on sale yet. I thought they were gone already when i couldn't find a link on the website. I've been out of the tent camping game at festivals for too long now that i don't think i could handle it again.

A moment of madness on her part, unless Today FM are so hard up their repeating shows from two Decembers back and hoping no one will notice.

I'm definitely doing this but maybe just the day the Manics are on. Does anyone know if they run buses from Cork to the festival and back?

Not sure about special buses directly to the festival, but public buses run from Cork to Mitchelstown about every hour. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the festival site from the town centre.
By the time the manics are over it will probably be too late to get the public bus back to Cork.
You could always get a b+b somewhere around there maybe if getting back to Cork on the night is too much hassle.
