So, they're having to play today's show with a stand-in bassist. There's a terrifying job if ever there was one. Thoughts with Nicky for whatever's going on in his family.

we'll be a caring audience. It'll be a very odd thing, I'm still glad they do it if they feel like. Let's hope for the best with Nicky's family

The news of a stand in has concerned me. Normally following gigs I can't go to online for updates are enjoyable.
I'm sure it will be a great gig. James could do the whole show with an acoustic and it would still be great. Dreading the reason being disclosed. But can't do anything except hope the people who go have a great time and still looking forward to the updates, set list and pictures that might go online. |

Would make more sense to me to put Wayne on bass and just play the gig. A big job to learn 12 to 15 songs in a week. Does Nick even have a bass tech? Will be very weird. Good luck to them.

I can't imagine there are many people other than Wayne available to know the setlist down pat and available that day. Who knows!

Can Dave Eringa play bass and/or guitar? Actually they're probably on stage by now so will know soon enough.

Whoever it is (no one I recognise), they get to stand in Nicky's position while Wayne gets his usual spot.

Only just seen about Nicky not playing, and why... I hope everything is ok with his family.

Yeah, just saw it myself as well. Very troubling news.
It looks extremely odd not to see him standing on the flank there.

For those wondering who the stand-in was, Sean has just said this on Twitter: "Richard Beak who techs for me and Nick and Assists Loz in our Studio and played some drums on James's Film track Album Top Bloke".
Best wishes to Nicky and family x |
