But after scanning through the article I thought Richey's sister was saying about the Tsunami! Thought that was brave of her. Read it again just now and. Ah yeah. Her again. Right. One final twist of the knife into the wound. And if people are helped by the Missing Person helpline in the article. Well that's the only decent part of it. Rinse and repeat next year. And the year after that. If I'd known just how shit journalism would become, I would have taken up the idea way more seriously than I did in School. |

A new appeal has been launched for Richey:

Oh, that's some interesting news.
Well, it's good they didn't really give up on him after all. Officially so anyway. Maybe with the new technology and methods they may actually find something.

Interesting interview, and I can’t help picking out this line;
“ Unfortunately, this year there’s been press in my garden looking for a story and other people behind the scenes manoeuvring to sell their ideas of what happened to Richard.” |

The full recorded interview is interesting
I feel for her. There's a lot of defensiveness in the interview and well it must be hard to want and need attention to be brought to help find or resolve what happened but at the same time because of his fame, although it wasn't huge, it's enough to have attracted all kinds of theories and comments and it's clearly made her feel the need to be guarded and to qualify a lot of what she says and I feel that's real shame because really he's her brother, a friend, a son....it's a shame if the attention has pushed people into feeling guarded over what they say or feel a need to qualify.....because you must surely have a lot of mixed feelings and things you're trying to work through but now you feel you have to lay out your feelings completely clearly.... so about his childhood for example it's very much oh yes he had a completely happy childhood....no one's childhood is that happy.......but it's a shame she feels pushed into a corner and that she has to give an answer and in doing so has to reduce everything to black and white to keep the idiots at bay I'm not saying there was any issues only that it must be hard to feel the platform you're lucky to have is impossible to use because whatever you say will be jumped on and judged when all you really want is help to find out what happened and whatever may or may not have lead up to it is for you to try and fathom...likely impossible...but harder if you need to worry what others think...Don't worry what others think. No one knows what another person really thinks after all and that is both the problem and the answer...that isn't an answer in many ways !

The full recorded interview is worth a listen to i think, with a journalist who seems to have done some proper research and asking considered questions. I feel for her too, she's spent most of her life dealing with intrusive press and useless police and now i fear she is being exploited by that hack writer and her worse than useless conspiracy crap. Like she said though, if the police can't deal adequately with a high profile missing person then god knows how they're dealing with the familiars of less high profile missing persons.
