If I was in a band, I'd not only be annoyed that people who wanted to get to the gig couldn't, but that people were making £400 profit or whatever amount off of me. I'm making a couple of quid of every ticket or something and some random person gets £400. I'd suggest that some bands would do more about touting if they looked at it like that.

find email addresses, email the promoters, the management, the venue, whoever you can, if we as fans make enough noise about it then they have to take us seriously. This gig in particular would be easy enough for everyone invloved to make a stand.

So do we have a number of how many off this forum got legit tickets? 10 or 15 people?

That is pretty bad....I feel for you all!

If I lived in the UK, I'd be pissed off about this big time too.

The band will be looking right into peoples eyes, and all they will see is touts.

In these plagued streets of pity you can buy anything,
For £200, anyone can purchase a ticket for Glasgow.

How can this gig be sold so cheaply forever, forever, forever.

Show me your ticket, this i can't be sure of, i exist in this place, your a self made tout, but still stood queued here, with touting scum.

Pretend Ticket, Pretend flying picket, you make fans feel so unfair.

No Money for a ticket, cheap ticket tout, sold tickets like a stout, sculpture of a tout, sculpture of a tooout.

Back to bright eyes - Is this ticket a fake, oh those touts for fuck sake, following this tout to the end of the road, hope he gets run over and squished like a toad.

No. It implies the website was misleading, which it was. However being young at the time I wasn't as assertive as I am now so I didn't challenge it. Still don't regret it.

I suppose that's the clincher isn't it. If I had the money at the time, I'd rather go.

I'd rather miss out. Horses for courses. I had the money (only just) when I missed out on Take That tickets, but a) it would have bankrupted me and b) why the fuck should I pay £200 to go to a gig that cost everyone else £30 to go to, just because I can? Sure, it can be viewed as cutting your nose off to spite your face when you refuse to buy tickets from touts, but if people pay these prices, touts will always exist and in the long run, that can only ever be a bad thing. If this whole King Tuts debarcle has taught anyone anything, it should be that.

I'm not having a go, just expressing why my opinion is the opposite.

I've risked it in the past and gone to a gig on the night and brought a ticket off a tout just as the band have come on stage, I've paid as little as £5, its great satisfaction knowing that they have lost out on what they paid for it
