Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was to have had a cameo from Nicky as one of the dummies in the mocked-up neighbourhood Indy finds himself in near the start of the film.
However, the shot with Nicky, which featured him in a classic hoovering stance, was digitally erased in post-production when someone pointed out that dyson vacuum cleaners hadn't been invented yet, so people would find it a bit far-fetched as they watched Indy get into the fridge...

Exclusively available in the Blackwood area, you can buy tins of spaghetti shapes made to look like the band. Around the release of Send Away The Tigers there was a special edition with Nina spaghetti shapes included, which now goes for up to four times the price of the standard tins on eBay. EIL.com also sometimes get them in and sell them for up to twenty times the price of the standard tins.

When Richey impersonated a shopwork dummy, he stood in the window of the Blackwood branch of Dorothy Perkins, wearing a nice floral dress and big floppy hat, occasionally shouting 'cooooeeeee!!!!' at passers by.
James may be a big fan of pork products, but he refuses to eat sausage and pepperami because he reckons eating them makes you 'look gay.' |

Richey never grew any nasal hair and was therefore rarely seen without a hankie, on which he had scrawled "My nose leaks the contents of my tortured soul" in lipstick.

To make Sean look comparatively big, James will only walk in trenches.

The band refused to license Revol for The Matrix soundtrack after Nicky and Keanu Reeves had a punch up backstage at Glasto 1999 when Keanu used the Manics loo and claimed he was a better bassist. After the other Manics waded in to support Nicky, Keanu's claim of "the masses picking on the one dude with class" inspired the number one hit The Masses Against The Classes.

Sean also caused Nicky's back problems, after hitting him in the back with a shovel in his teens shouting "Shrink, you lanky bastard."

Despite his best efforts Nicky only managed to take 2 feet off his original height

Richey was the inspiration for the character "Pop", when Kellogs remodelled their famous Snap, Crackle and Pop cartoons. This was the just the latest in a long line of deals the band have done with the cereal manufacturer, which started when James mooted the idea of naming their 8th studio album "Send Away Tony The Tiger."

Despite the Manics literary credentials, Sean only owns one book - 'Keeping It Real' by Jodie Marsh. His favourite book is actually Kerry Katona's autobiography, but Nicky borrowed and burned it to, quote, "do Sean a favour."

Sean earns more money than the rest of the band because he embezzles the money in foreign accounts and invests in the electronics industry.

When Richey wrote about "my escort of no meaning" on JFPL, it was meant to be the first in a series of lyrics about cars he'd owned - i.e. his Capri of hopelessness, the camper van of despair and his Mondeo of futility.
Nicky now owns a Smart Car of pointlessness. |

The band vetoed a re-issue of every album which would have featured Sean going 'that's what she said' at the end of each line.

If you listen carefully to 'Jackie Collins.....', after the line 'Oh Mommy what's a Sex Pistol?' you can hear Nicky snigger and say 'he means a winky!'
