They should add Richey Edward on the poster but other than this, the poster is very cool.

I don't understand the complications with music rights. Do Sony want you to pay them for the music used in the documentary? Would the band not fork up the cash for it like? Ye could do a film tour to coincide with a gig tour or something.

They've an album due out at the end of the year allegedly and they're still a bankable band so even finding investment from other sources shouldn't be too hard surely?

It all sounds like a good idea doesn't it. but it doesn't seem to be that easy. Elizabeth has gone over all of these ideas and questions over the last few years.

This is the first time No Manifesto has felt official to me. Got interviewed in Wolverhampton 2005 and stuttered like a fool. Kinda forgot it even existed from then till last year. Can't wait to see this

We are currently seeking sources for that money, and hopefully will soon be able to update on plans for release.

I think it's bullshit that Sony are asking for loads of money to use the music in the movie. Arseholes. Just shows you how evil the music industry is, it's all about money for the record companies. If anything they should be helping out in order to get the film out to the masses, cos it'd draw interest in the Manics and probably help shift copies of their albums. I hope this issue gets sorted soon. Bloody Sony.

You'd think Sony would be loving that someone's made a film about Manic Street Preachers. They ought to see it as a free extended advert. Alright, maybe preaching to the converted but I do intend to at least attempt to force No Manifesto on some casual fans...

It's bad but pretty standard practice. All part of signing a contract to a major record company.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be a company like Warner-Chappell who are the music publishers, not Sony?
