That's an amazing collection for such a short term fan!

Why was KYE 3 for £30, seems a little extortionate?

Welcome to FD, by the way.

Yeah, I've never physically seen it and I somehow doubt I will. 20 is a silly number. That said, I've managed to track down a couple of the Canadian clamshell promo things and apparently there are only 12 of each of them

Going by the sticker on KYE, I'm guessing degreeinpolitics bought it from someone who bought it around the first year or two of release, as looking at the sticker I think it is a Virgin promotion sticker from the early '00s.
3 for £30 would have been a standard offer back then as was 2 for £22. CD's were much more expensive, some chart albums then would cost as much as £13.99 on week of release.
Those Virgin offers were never really good value for money though, so I very rarely took advantage of them.

/end of boring stuff haha!

I know this is not your entire collection, but you can do better. I'm actually disappointed at how small your collection is. Pick up the pace, yeah?

I miss the days when you had to look in second hand record shops and charity shops for rare stuff. Clicking just isn't as much fun.

Tell me about it, I doubt more than a quarter of my Manics collection has been bought in person. Still, eBay is quite fun sometimes. It's nice to get stuff a fraction of eil price. Works both ways though, I once got outbid by 1 cent on the Sleepflower promo, was gutted.

The internet definitely opened up a bigger world of potential fandom.

Without the net I still only had the albums and EU MCD's of ADFL / EMG as a collection. God bless eBay!

Just bought this:

£8 off eBay. American release with original artwork, withdrawn for copyright reasons apparently. Don't know how rare it is, but I'm chuffed with that price. I think I paid more for the standard UK cd about 10 years ago Anybody know more about it than I do?

Oh yeah, that's probably a Spanish 7" promo of Motorcycle Emptiness.

I need a life.
