It depends on whether they are kept as a single dwelling, with 4-5 bedrooms, or broken up into one and two bedroom flats. It's not based on how many floors are in the building.

wonder if jdb had noisy neighbours when he was living in maida vale. I'd assumed he had a flat in a purpose built block ...dunno why. I've always wanted a victorian conversion flat cos they're nicer but after some of the posts i've read in the misery thread puts me off. Unless its a top floor flat and i'm the one making the noise!

I hope all this isnt cos of what i posted. I DO NOT think there's a clique..it was Tom reading something in what i said that was never my intention. If I felt shut out by cliques i wouldn't be posting here. My posts were in response to the two or three people that thought the OP was infringing privacy and anyone else that might've agreed with that....thought i gave a couple of good examples...oh well

Yeah, I owe you an apology for that. I obviously did read way more into it than I should have done. Sorry, I didn't mean to be vicious. I genuinely thought you were making a completely different point.

Nah, it was addressing the point Tom made, not really anything to do with your post, especially if you didn't mean it ....still a good point. Some people like to complain about the clique and being forced to shut up, when really, no one is stopping them saying what they want to say, until it breaks the rules of course.

So what do we reckon the odds are for a Baby Bradders by next year? 25-1? 16-1?

James had a flat on the basement floor with a garden. The old Irish woman he wrote 'Say Hello To The Pope' about lived in the flat above him.

I would imagine so! Nah, they might be going to buy a herd of cattle and set up an organic farm or something!
