Basically, I was thinking the chorus needs more guitar and then I found this fella who proves my point!

I have deliberately held off for a few days to cast judgment on this .... for 2 reasons: a) my typical reaction to anything new Manics is "Of course I'm gonna love it, its the Manics and b) to give a proper few listens so as not to cast an "a)" reaction:
So ... after about a half dozen listens: I actually really like it - infectious melody, soaring guitar solo, cheeky little drum fills ... I cant get the melody out of my head. I don't imagine its going to be in the top 10 of my fave manics songs ever, but from this soundbite, I am really really excited to see what the whole record sounds like. For a band that I've been listening to for the better part of 20 years, theyre still finding a way to write and create stuff that I think sounds fresh, vibrant and up for the task... I say good job .. role on Sept 20. EDIT: I can imagine its going to be blindin' live ... they better bloody do this 2011 US tour they promised last year ...

hated it at first
now i find it tolerable. its just the opening lyrics that make me cringe now. it reminds me of 1980's theme songs from TV -macGyver, A Team, Charles in Charge |

I think I love it because Tim Roth is on the album cover, and Michael Sheen will be in the video.
Really.

Is Tim Roth the guy holding the polaroid on the album cover then. Who is he?
