I had an eBay item turn up yesterday, which now gives me this rather satisfying set...

Looks cool laid out like that. I need to replace my 12" of that and La Tristesse, really.. No posters.

Got a few recent additions to take pics of when I get round to it, but I'd rather get em all together and take pictures by release, with a half-decent camera. Phone camera's crap.

Yeah, I'm gonna take some more shots of my "sets" of stuff. I almost bought another copy of the La Tristesse 12" as my one doesn't have a poster. I think I have all the other posts etc that should have them.

I have both LBAL pink and Roses clear vinyl. I absolutely ADORE that red clear vinyl. I also have Coldplay's Speed Of Sound 10'' white clear vinyl - very very pretty.
And few questions to Rich about those Thai tapes - Live From Japan, is it official? which company released it? how many tracks there are, what's the tracklist and when were they recorded? 1992 or 1993? from 1 gig or from few? I haven't seen this before. was it expensive?

WOw, some of you guys have some amazing collections. I have nothing like this, best I can boast is a promo copy of Nixon single I saw in a record shop and I remember getting so excited when I saw it so bought it for like £3 I think in 2004.

I think they're all bootlegs. I doubt they would be officially released with such butchered artwork.

Mystery solved: It was just the regular EMG release, but just in a plastic case. I have no idea why.

I have all their 7''s except Whatever - its the last one on my list, i should be getting it any time really. I actually thought i bought it for a bargain, turned up to be the 12''. I didn't mind very much though hah.

So here's what I got (TELL ME/SHOW ME YOURS - if interested let me know i'll take some pics )

- The 8 LP Box Set featuring all their albums on heavyweight vinyl (except FTM and STC)
- Stop The Clocks 3 LP box
- Time Flies 5 LP Box
- Dig Out Your Soul 4 LP/2 CD/1 DVD Box Set
- and the original copies of SOTSOG and DBTT.
- i had original copies of Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory but sold them... with their money i bought the 8 LP Box...

12'' Singles
- Whatever
- Go Let It Out
- The Hindu Times Promo
- Stop Crying Your Heart Out
- Falling Down - Amorphous Androgynous Remixes
- Falling Down - Chemical Brothers Remix

7'' Singles
- All except Whatever
- Including the Dig Out Your Soul 7'' Box Set with the 4 7''s.

I dont have too many 12''s... the shipping to the US kills me. most of 7''s are shipped for 2.50 or 3.00 which is the actual shipping costs. But most charge a ridiculous amount for 12''s...

*** and to answer your question, you will definitely sell them all. perhaps not at GREAT prices, but you will definitely sell them. The first two-three albums will get you a lot of money. also many 12'' singles go way up... and look out for any rare promos you might have.
Sorry, I've only just seen this.

I can't remember off the top of my head what I have in the way of singles. I know I have Some Might Say, Whatever, Hindu Times, Stop Crying Your Heart Out on 12". I also have (What's The Story) Morning Glory and Be Here Now on 12" vinyl as well. And of course Familiar To Millions as well (mint/sealed.) When I'm back at my parent's house this weekend I'll try and take some photos.

I also have the cigarette boxes for the DM and MG singles.

I'm not really into Oasis as much anymore, but I can't decide whether to part with this stuff or not...

I would keep it

I am after the DM & MG boxes but with the interview disc only, as I got all the singles.

Now my 7'' is complete, as I finally got whatever...

If you put pics that'd be cool. I'll do the same.

I think I will for now. I was at the show they recorded to make it, and it was my first time seeing them so I have a real sentimental attachment to it.

I reckon it'll be hard to find them just with the interview discs. I had all the CD singles but had to buy the boxes with all the discs in still. I think they were £50 each. I've only ever seen them for sale three times: Once when they were first released, but I was too young and couldn't afford them, once in Brighton (where I bought them) and once in Cardiff at Kelly's Records.

As far as I can tell, they're all official. They've all got the usual Colombia/Epic logos on the artwork and the cassettes and copyright warning and they've all got the same serial numbers as the UK releases. Well, except Love's Sweet Exile, Stay Beautiful and Live In Japan which weren't released on cassette in the UK.

There's another one on eBay right now: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MANIC-STREET-P...usic_Cassettes. It's the Club Citta stuff from 92 that you can get on Little Baby Nothing cd2 and the fat Japanese Gold Against The Soul, so nothing new. Slash N' Burn, Crucifix Kiss, Motown Junk, Tennessee, You Love Us. Mine worked out a fiver cos I bought a few in bulk, but I would've been happy enough to pay what they're asking in that one I just linked.

I wondered about that, myself. Had a good look and they look official enough to me. Will have to do some rewinding, but a few of em have "sony music" on the actual tape itself. Either way, I like these. You call em butchered, I call em unusual

They're definitely interesting items to have. The graphic designer in me finds the altered artwork pretty grating though; Motorcycle Emptiness being the worst offender. I'm just uber-critical of stuff like that.

I'd imagine that (assuming they are bootlegged) the people producing them would include all the Sony bumph on them to make them look genuine. I'm happy to be proved wrong though.

I see what you mean, not really sure why any of the changes were made at all. I'd have made the opposite assumption about the bootlegging though, thinking Sony would come down on anyone with a ton of bricks for using their name. Plus, bootlegging's more for full albums and gigs, rather than a single with 3 b-sides. There's barely a demand for these if they're official, why would you bootleg them?

Anyway, they're all on http://theloveof.atspace.com/ and I expect they'll know better than I do.
