Yeah, Martin Hall just needs to get them An Evening With the Manics on prime time ITV and it's in the bag.

Ah, apologies for my lack of knowledge about that. And I always tread carefully about what to call Southern Ireland for some reason so please forgive me! Have driven around it and it is very nice! (Hope that gets me off the hook.......................!)

Aye defo, Collins has had a TV show for himself (why, it's not like it was some special occasion or anything) and Simply Red had one last night (although they're calling time on their 25 year career) so if the Manics had a show like this it'd do wonders for the band....sadly it'll never ever happen.
Also, bloody hell, I'm shocked the single is as high as #40 as it only made #28 last week, I honestly expected it to be about #99 or something. That's kind of cool then

Imagine the cast of Corrie and Loose Women in the audience listening to Of Walking Abortion

Well, I actually guessed right saying it would be #3 after all, and there was me thinking, 'Oh, I underestimated how well they'd do'.

Won't the single have stuck around in the top 40 due to the album being released in the last week and the fact downloads are included in the chart? So anyone downloading the album will have helped shift units of the single.

don't think the download from the album counts while the single is still available.. dunno tho

But digital singles don't really stop being available; you can still download them ages after the single was released, even if the physical copies are no longer available. I don't know the official rules though, so I could be wrong.

I wouldn#t have thought download sales of an album would go towards a single, that'd be mental...but I have no idea. Might go read up on it otherwise it'll bug me.

yea the rules are a bit muddled. I read somewhere that they don't count certain things but can't remember what or when. Mebbe you're right
