How dare you insult my beloved Snow Patrol, even Nicky has warmed to them.

Keane are just shit, I'll give you that one mate.

same here. been meaning to see what they are, but ANYTHING that tops the charts these days is bound to be garbage.

sure, there can be an exception for a week or two, but you can bet that if the masses listen to it, its probably shit. this wasnt always the case, but it is now, in the times we live in.

this decade, especially the past 4-5 years have been the WORST in music history. at least of the past 60 or so years.

the 80's were partially bad, but at least it gave us some gold moments. this age is full of worthless disposable music :/

Haha! Some of the pop stars mentioned on this board mean virtually nothing to me either. I do however know who Westlife are and I've no idea how or why I know who they are...I think one of their members had a small part in Ab Fab or something.
They are, or were, an Irish boy band. I believe they also had a cameo in U2's 'The Sweetest Thing' vid a few years back...or maybe that was another Irish boy band...I don't know, all their names sound the same to me.

Just to add to the confusion, I'd never heard of The Script either until all this talk about them outselling the Manics during PFAYM's debut week in the UK charts. From the discriptions, they sound like they're a bit on the crap side.

I think people should lay off twitter. My english teacher was actually one of the people to convince me to get one. Twitter is a convenient way to access news from around the globe including breaking events, global affairs, elections, weather, sports, traffic, and the economy.
Sure, I follow a few comedians, even a few celebrities, but I don't understand why people put it down so easily.
Oh, I forgot the mention, I follow the Manics on twitter too, and I LOVE IT.
