He gets ill everytime he tours. I know he gives the old voice excuse but with 20 years of experience that shouldn't be happening anymore. Shit doesn't happen to Celine Dion, the Manics are just lazy bastards. Didn't they cancel once because Nicky had sore legs? Lol.

Its the years of heavy smoking that have probably wrecked the voice, its easier to blame the cold. Its like the heavy drinker who blames the dodgy burger for making him sick and not the 12 pints of Stella along side it. Its the denial thing.

As someone who suffers really badly when they get a cold/flu I can sympathise with him. When I get a cold/flu bug I am literally floored. I'm in bed for 3 days, and can hardly move. It usually goes straight to a chest (and if I'm really lucky, ear) infection. I should have 10 days off work, but usually drag myself in after 4 or 5. I think the fact I'm asthmatic probably doesn't help, and the fact that James is a smoker probably has a similar effect.
