Awesome. I'm now completely jealous and feeling almost mean enough to hope that James's voice still needs a bit of a rest tomorrow night.

It was a great gig, James on good form verbally, missed a few high notes, Wayne and Nicky were doing more backing vocals than usual. The audience were receptive and lively...which after Lincoln was a huge relief.
Nicky's solo was a suprise, he looked genuienly worried before he started (bless him) the crowd got behind him though and by the end he looked happy.
Yes the setlist was predictable, but when hasn't it been?
BSP were wonderful too That's my Manics fix for a while, glad it ended on a high night.

From Wayne's dressing room setlist, it looks like the Wire's song was left open as full band / solo depending on how James was feeling at the two thirds point.

Last night was incredible, James sounded amazing considering the problems he has been having with his voice. I'm not the biggest fan of Nicky's voice, but I really enjoyed his slot, it was lovely. Can't wait to see them in Birmingham now.

There was no trumpet, maybe Sean isn't confident of playing the trumpet live yet.
The crowd was much better than the other gig in the tour I went to in Lincoln.
BSP were in halloween fancy dress. Nicky dressed as a schoolboy for the first part, and then donned a Sgt Pepper style green coat and the sailor hat for the second part.
Fair play to Nicky that isn't bad and he's definitely improved since I saw him on his solo tour at the Hay Festival

Doesn't Nicky wear fancy dress nearly every time he goes on stage?

Love it! If this happens at Carlisle I will be a very happy lady. The spider deely boppers in the foreground really add to it as well

Funny, I was thinking how they were gonna manage these gigs on my way into work this morning. I had two ideas - Horses Under Starlight (crowd singalong bah bah bahs?!)... and this!

Nice video of Nicky singing, that's something different and new. Did James not two the usual 2 acoustic songs? Nicky's alright, this was good to see.

No, just You Stole the Sun. From the setlist posted earlier on it seems that James was going to sing Small Black Flowers.
