I'm seriously starting to think that they're embarassed by JFPL for some unknown reason.

I wouldn't say embarrassed. I would take a punt that it makes them uneasy to play some of the songs from it, considering the lyrical content from their then quite ill and disturbed friend. Saying that, some stuff from THB is worse, I guess.

If they were embarrassed by JFPL I would assume they are either deaf or have no taste. I mean, I know Nicky has pretty much zero taste but the other two should overrule him at least somewhat.

Yeah, that argument doesn't work as you point out. They're happy to play "Of Walking Abortion" and "Faster" but not something like "Me and Stephen Hawking"? Just makes no sense.

I was going to say the same thing. It doesn't make sense, since they've played stuff from JFPL before and they even toured to promote it. But maybe they feel uncomfortable performing anything from there now, considering it's Richey's last work and some of it is pretty bleak? Then again, like you said, THB is awfully bleak too.

Honestly I think it was a slip up. They said they were going to do every album.

Well they did nothing from JFPL in Dublin so...unless you mean they only said that for Llandudno?

I actually thought they might open with Intravenous Agnostic tonight, because of it being ten years ago in Llandudno that they opened with it. It was quite a surprise that night, too

Didn't they say when JFPL was released that most of the tracks would probably be never played live after the promotional tour? Can't remember the reason why but I have it stuck in my head that they said that!

I am most likely to be wrong!

Sounds like a great gig, I'm sad to have missed it, but I really couldn't have coped with a trip to Wales tonight. And I have to say Pete Doherty at the (big) Academy was quite an experience - he stood up there with his acoustic for an hour and a half or something and was genuinely good, and the MASSIVE crowd loved him.

Oooh Solitude! Suppose it's better than bloody Empty Souls. It's one of the less shit tracks off Lifeblood. But not in the top 3 good tracks.

They did the obligatory Lifeblood slagging off before SSI but it was awesome. They sounded great tonight.
