If the deluxe edition is as sexy as Postcards and Journals, I will probably get it.

It's an addiction. I'll probably get the standard cd, special cd, super special box, vinyl, Japanese cd, couple of promos and fucking Vietnamese cassette.

As nice as they look, they're awful when it comes to scratching the CDs.

Late to the party, but are they suggesting it may be a collection of single cds, each with the single on it...ie 33 cd's each with one track on it?

If so, how disgustingly wasteful, and utterly pointless. Not a chance I'd buy that.

You could fit their entire discography and all videos on a DVD.

Yeah mine skips a lot too, but that's mainly from me pressing the skip button until the end of the album

I can't agree with this, Greatest Hits albums are usually brought by casual or non fans as well as die hard fans, I have greatest hits albums of groups I would never buy normal albums like The Smiths, Pulp, Blur and The Verve.

And nor would anyone else. Which is why I rather suspect it'll be more like the recent Clash singles box set, in which every single has its own disc with its own original b-sides collated onto it. They've confirmed neither as yet, but I'd be amazed if they'd do what you're suggesting.

Having said that, I do worry about getting screwed over in terms of the DVD that comes with the double-disc edition as it doesn't seem to fit with the description of the bpx set.

I don't know if anyone picked up on this in this thread, so apologies if this is a repeat, but going through Nicky's recent Twitter lyrics postings I came back across this one:

''ive been looking for national treasures-they are not in the government- not in the palace''x

So I do wonder if they may have written a title track single, despite this cover song talk.

Ah, yes. I think somebody suggested they might be new lyrics in the twitter thread. It's enough to convince me it's a title track they've done. I'm not sure about the cover song talk. Probably just more Wire lies, although it might be the b-side or something.

But you're missing out on great songs like I Think I Found It and Hazelton Avenue for starters!

No, they wouldn't put one single song on ech CD. That would be craziness! I hope it's like The Clash singles boxset with a cool package!

They'd just download the individual tracks they want if they don't have them already or wait until the album is in the bargain bin. Pulp's greatest hits got to number 71 in the charts.

Lol, I still disagree, a lot of older people don't have computers or don't know how to download, I don't! The Phonics greatest hits was released almost 3 years back, is still in the top 150 and has sold about 800,000 as opposed to their album released after which sold about 120,000.
