i have, shall and always will love the band and the music they've given us. however.

38 Video tracks on 1 DVD
rough and ready mathematics in my head, the disc is going to be compressed to fuck and "patchy / "blocky", and i think this means that the JCEQT video does not appear. what the fuck did they make it for?

39 audio tracks on 39 CDs
let me not bother saying anything about this in regards of the price and the term "complete singles collection". instead, over to you Messers Bradfield, Wire and Moore :

Drown that poor thing
Put it out of its misery
Condemn it to its future
Deny its history
Deny its history

they have, for little or no reason, flat refused to give the fans so much as an inch of what would make this venture worthwhile.

this big long break they are going on? they should fuck off and fuck off now, and fucking stay wherever it is they fuck off to. please don't let them tarnish the image and memories and further.

That's what I would have expected it to be. I already have two copies of most of the singles anyway so why would I want to buy a third one but with no bonus songs/b-sides????????????????????????????????????????????? ???

They had to include a poster? Manics, I love you all, but I'm not paying over $300 for a boxed set of music I already own in order to get something I've been looking everywhere for and can't find.

that's a fair comment. however, another fair comment is that there are many fans who really, really want to get their hands on all the singles and b-sides, and would be prepared to make some plans or arrangements to afford something that contained all of that, instead of relying on dubious downloads or having to pick and choose expensive Japanese imports.

Sony have issued a shit sandwich in the hope of selling it instead of bothering to make something people would wish to buy.

I wonder if it's a good quality compact - like the collectible Estee Lauder crystal ones. But $260 Canadian is a lot of cash for what this appears to be. Maybe they'll include a multi-region DVD?

Dear Sony, please go and look at The Clash singles boxset and come back to us. Thanks!

This is why I really don't like compilations. If it's released with something extra, I'm going to feel obligated to get it, even if I own the majority of everything else on there. Like when The Who put out another greatest hits a few years agowith two new songs on it and, like a fool, I bought it. And just traded it in with a pile of other albums at the used cd store because I already own like everything on there and one of the new songs sucked heh.

I remember seeing an ad for a Manics compact with the Stay Beautiful-esque logo on it (band's name written in lipstick) from their early days. I'm assuming it'll be something like that!

Utter waste of plastic, time, money. Thom Yorke would be spinning up his tree.

what's the bet that the original artwork isn't even included for the discs? they couldn't really, since that would involve listing b-sides that aren't fucking there.

the discs are all probably in plain or "stylishly numbered" envelopes.

Is the single only for download then? I know it's only a cover, but unless it's physical, it never happened.

The B-sides can't be left off! That is surely the point of re-releasing all the singles!

Edit - or 'reissuing' before anyone starts!
