I'd say that the heavy promo for NT actually drove a fair few thousand casual fans out to buy FD, rather than waiting for NT.

as i recall it sold very, very well down here - no idea where to get the stats from, sorry.
we even - very fucking briefly - had a manics.co.za site for us here, but that died a quick death. odd that FD sold well here, yet the subsequent albums have not had an official release in this part of the world; imports only.

I was talking about this with a mate the other night and we both think the bass on the GT era singles has been remastered/turned up, anybody else notice any difference or am I going mad?!

No I'd agree with this, I can hear a lot more things going on than when I listen to the FD collection

Got my copy today. Great to see that the discs get scratched to pieces taking them out of the cardboard sleeves once again, just like the JFPL and PFAYM book editions.

Bass has defo been cranked up, ergo we can actually hear it. Seriously though they've cleaned up the songs a lot.

#24 in the midweeks...not too surprised really sadly, but come Sunday it'll be even further down the chart. Probably about 30-ish. I hope it can float around a while and sell at a steady pace.
