It kicks arse as a set-opener, and it sounded amazing as the opener on the PPF tour in 2005.

So yeah, Found That Soul is my pick for opener, and in an ideal world, the show will end with Motown Junk.

I'm thinking Motorcycle Emptiness to open and Design to close.

They've closed with Design at every gig I've seen them at except the Heavenly gig, and I am not complaining. It is brilliant live. And last time I saw them at the O2, the NME Big Gig, Design closer was one of the best songs I have seen them play live.

Same here - and also relieved, since it got it out of the way quickly!

Interesting that many folk seem to be bored of the Manics finishing on ADFL. I used to think the same, but I've learned to just accept it is going to happen, and just get lost in the moment instead, thinking about what the song represents for the group and the meaning of the words I'm singing back at them. Loving it in spite of myself, really.

In short, the man who had read everything published today, would be more stupid than a man who had read nothing."

YSTS is a good opener though... Gets everyone in the mood, and that chorus is so immense live
