The thing is they never said that to begin with. It's only now they've introduced these caveats. By all means play shows outside the UK, although a self imposed and unlikely to be adhered to ban on UK shows seems odd, but don't have a go at people for calling you out on what you originally DID say.

fuck knows why they are refusing to do UK shows for 2 years, tbh. in theory, it's not out of the question that Mr Wire sees Wales and Scotland as no part of the UK, so they may do gigs there.

considering their twat record label only lets people in the UK see the "official" you tube stuff and the singles from PFAYM were UK only things, there's kind of an irony in the next two years being spent promoting outside it - "hello Sony fuck heads, look where we are - they have internet".

I really don't see why it's an awful thing that they announced a non-UK tour? Considering how many news outlets took the initial announcement to mean they're breaking up, that's probably what lead to the clarification. I honestly don't get why this is bad news.

I actually really want to see them in Europe this summer. i think i am actually considering this if i could get it cheap enough, and i could perhaps use the holiday angle to wangle friends into going (without mentioning the manics).
