Hope it holds on, "Lifeblood" was no7 midweek, then tailed off, this one seems to be holding on.

Also, the albums market is really weak these days, White Lies sold just over 7,000 copies to go top 5 with their last album, so on average not much needed!. Would still be nice for the sales to be good though, and for the album to hold on in the long run. Hope The Temperance Movement's album is doing well.

Ninth top 10 studio album for the Manics this will be won't it?.

7,000 is fucking pitiful. There's no point compiling charts anymore.

Indeed, that album dropped out of the top 40 in its second week.

Yeah, most of the tweets are just ones plugging albums, tours and signings. "Show Me the Wonder" only made #77 btw, that's sums up how dire singles charts are these days, the good stuff hardly gets a look in.

Manics are at #3 on 13,069. Unfortunately those overhyped and overworshiped Arctic Monkeys are still at #1. Still remember it when they kept "Send Away the Tigers" off the top spot, still pissed off about it today as a matter of fact.

Why? Their album was better than Send Away the Tigers. As are all other Manics albums.

Every single album that Arctic Monkeys have ever done is better than Send Away The Tigers mind....

Can only think of "Lifeblood" being not better than any AM album. A friend of mine who's a big Manics fan "Hates" it, okay it's a poor album with the exception of "To Repel Ghosts" and "Empty Souls" being the only decent tracks, but to hate the album is going too far.

Sums up how dire SMTW is, you mean.

It's a single for OAPs. OAP don't buy singles.

It would be so good if it was top 3 at the weekend. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, positive thinking might help!!!

I brought the Arctic Monkey's album same time as the Manic's and the Monkey's album is 100 times better in my opinion!

It reminds me of the stuff from the late 70's that Bands like The Dooley's or Brother Hood of Man released.
