I think thats why I did'nt enjoy it as much as usual, the sound was pretty bad and distorted, it was hard to tell which song was which until James started singing, this was up in the balcony. No one really talking up by me but it was a very 'mature' crowd up by me, one woman was asleep

I could make out the songs very easily (despite the shit sound) but the crowd just needed a collective slap for being twats! You probably got lucky, I wasn't very fortunate with the people around me.

Sorry to hear some of you had a bad time. That's the primary reason I hate seated - not enough focus. Don't envy those that have no choice but to be in the stalls, it's like a completely different experience towards the front. Wolves usually has great acoustics so I don't get the complaints about the sound. Was it just bad on the balcony or on the floor too?

Sound was, thankfully, excellent on the floor. I remember thinking how good it was, so it's a massive shame it was poor up top.

Once the crowd got going, the atmosphere was great down the front!Kind of a football supporter pit but all good natured.Enjoyed Wire's bank clerk couture & he looked/sounded a lot happier.
James told me once it was in his top 3 venues & they always have a good night at the Civic-no exception last night.
Europa geht durch mich sounding better & better.
Roll on Brixton on Saturday.

It super annoys me that they slow down all the best THB songs. On reflection, the setlist is actually ok; they just need to scrap the first 4 songs and those boring RTF tracks.

Wolf Alice were amazing again.

Come on, it was nearly 9 years ago.... They've aged a lot since!

It's funny that. I used to wonder the same in terms of bands slowing down. It is annoying as a fan, especially as you want to jump around. I've noticed in my own bands and others around my age, as you get older you just naturally drop the tempo a touch. But even if it's a few % it's quite noticeable.
