I listened to SATT and didn't skip a single song. That freaked me out because I didn't intend on listening to it and I don't like the album. It just happened to play on my ipod.

What would the music sound like? Out of copyright traditional songs bastardised.
Or maybe even one chord played over and over.
The Manics phone it in. No, the Manics don't even be bothered enough to phone it in. A lot of the songs do push the three minute mark, but that's only because you can hear the band breathing and asking each other if they want to make some noise. For a little bit.
It'll never happen, but I can dream can't I? See, they even get the Dina Carroll songwriters in to pen the album. (and I thought it was "Dana Carroll", but that just produced a list of bio-chemists with that name instead)
That's not Manics Street Preachers, that's… Tepid Sofa Agnostics.

Found this whilst looking for live Nicky pics:

This is Nicky's alter ego... and a frankly terrifying one.

I caught up with the first episode of the new series of Derek. The scene where Derek wants to watch the DVD of that old woman for the umpteenth time reminded me of Nicky in Rewind The Film. Kindred spirits.

I reckon that after this album/tour that will be our lot for a few years.

Nicky will do his art or a book or whatever he has been threatening us with for the past few years.
James will do some guesting/solo stuff... Have another kid.
Sean will just be keep on being Sean
