The funniest thing is that Nina Hoss seems to unconsciously (or deliberately) adopt an English accent. She sounds like the lead singer in a Rammstein-tribute-band from New Jersey. (not necessarily a bad thing! )

If she sounds like a lrammstein tribute band member from new jersey that would be an American accent, not english

It's a certain German-ness, from Europe going through you presumably.

Just as a side note as we're on about Nina Hoss. Her spoken English is really good, which is why her accent on the song sounds a bit more "non-German" during the English bits.

[QUOTE=Porco;2597491]Ok, I'll repeat myself too if you like, the only physical release which is announced is the album. We don't know what they are planning.
No we don't and as we saw previously even plans go tits-up despite the planning. I think the bans will have a pretty good idea of what they want to hapen, is it does is another thing, life means things go wrong.

Walk me to the Bridge promo on eBay, up to £10.00 now and a day still to go. So maybe?

Musically this song is Holy Bible era Manics on the verses and Simple Minds on the absolutely massive chorus: a genius combination and a total ear-worm of a tune. I think it's frickin' fantastic.
I'm not sure just how much I'm believing Nicky that these lyrics are mainly focused on himself and the Øresund Bridge rather than Richey, though! To be fair to the Wire, I think he probably tends to subconsciously write about Richey a fair bit of the time, even if that's not always his intention. It's rather sweet either way. Love the video too. As cliche as some people think it is to reference, Run Lola Run is a fantastic film and my cat was actually named after Franka Potente's lead character from that flick Going by what we've heard from it so far, I think Futurology has the potential to be one of my favourite Manics albums. I don't mean that the verses are as heavy as fuck or anything like that! The guitar and bass parts on the verses are very, er, Holy Bibley in their sound, though |

Yes, and I also think it is a common phenomenon that the way people around you speak rubs off on you. So the fact that she was using German while being around English-speakers is the most likely explanation - I'm afraid it happens to me as well sometimes.
