What time are you playing the in the brewhouse? This Castle gig seems to be early (5pm?) which is a real pain for me to get there early as that day I have stuff I can't cancel booo (still going tho, will just mean flying through the gates at the last minute)

WTF? I immerse myself in EVERY single minute. This is so odd....

We'll be doing a classic set in full Holy Bible regalia

Are you guys playing at the Cardiff City Stadium before the Wolves game this weekend?

The Manics are going on later than 5, probably 7 at the earliest one would imagine? I think we're going to be playing around 2/3(?) at the Brewhouse. Certainly it'll be well before they open the castle gates because we're all going to the gig ourselves. It'll be great to see as many of you there as possible, and I can confirm we will be wearing Holy Bible costumes... expect me in a sailor suit!

We will be I'll be Wayne for that gig. Come and say hello, always good to meet another FD'er. Gonna be doing about half an hour there and then a full two set show with full production at the Globe in the evening - I'll be Richey for the first set and Wayne for the second set. I can confirm that the setlist is an absolute corker, we've even got a JDB acoustic section in there

They're here! They're here! Our tickets just arrived! *hops around the house like a madwoman*

Also, for those of us who know nothing about Cardiff, is there an address for this Brewhouse to aid us in locating it?

Because MSP music to me is so often background music - something you listen to on a train or perhaps have going through your head constantly... when I go to their gigs I quite often zone out and forget to actually take it in!

p.s. still no tickets yet.... WILL THE TICKETS FOR THIS JUNE GIG ARRIVE IN TIME?!?!?!

The Pretty Vicious supporting apparently. I have no idea who they are. Am I right in guessing they're a shit indie band playing songs that wouldn't have passed for original in the 90s?

Blimey, signed and touring at 17! That's some achievement.

There is some buzz about The Pretty Vicious, 17 and from Merthyr, a bit like early Arctic Monkeys I suppose.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuCfyLWIZ44

Can imagine that young people will love them, but a Manics audience at a THB gig?

I'm the same age as them and I just don't get them.
Love the Pistols which they allegedly sound like but they have none of the intelligence of Lydon. I know Artic Monkeys who they do sound like and I don't like them.

They are so clichιd it's as cringey as Tim Vine jokes. Lyrics are so inoffensive I'm offended. They say nothing that hasn't been said 1 million times before.

Anybody else hate the mood at the moment of Rock Vs X factor? Royal Blood, Artic Monkeys, QOTSA and various others claim to be the real deal but I doubt their "Rock n Roll" credentials.

Until the Rock music is original, intelligent and genuinely rebellious (like early Manics/Pistols/Stooges/) nobody will care.
