Favourite Spectators of Suicide Version

As simple as the title suggests (cos I only recently discovered the GT demo version, and fell in love with it. It's the vocal performance, mixed with the remnants of the Heavenly Version, without the crap of the GT version).

Heavenly for me.

Didn't James say the album version sounded "awful, like the Lion Sleeps Tonight"? Or have I misattributed that line?

Heavenly by a nose from the House in the Woods demo, which sounds pleasantly New Order-y and was the second best thing on the GT reissue after that awesome indie-punk Born To End.

Am I alone in not having heard the Colt 45 version? I've never been arsed with half the early demos to be honest.

I'm sure we've done this before, but I'm always up for a poll!

Heavenly version. All the way.

You're right - I think that was on the 'track by track' video.
It's a fair comparison actually... haha

It's actually a really nice version. Better than the album version anyway (what isn't?).

Some of the early demos are really good, if you can get past the hiss and the poor quality. The demo version of RP McMurphy is fantastic, Faceless Sense of Void isn't bad, and Go Buzz Baby Go is great to hear what Motorcycle Emptiness once sounded like. I always quite liked Destroy the Dancefloor too.

The live version from the Forever Heavenly festival in 2008. This is how the original Heavenly version should have been performed.

A tad too slow. The original Heavenly version has the right tempo.
