Oh yeah there were those (lovely) Japanese re-releases, weren't there?

I noticed that but the description has it down as 2 CD. I ordered it anyway. Now up to £14.99

They better not have left out "Little Trolls" off the CD reissue completely, that'd be an absolute joke given it's never been issued on CD before and I'm sick of all Manics reissues having one flaw that stops them from being the perfect reissue (apart from SATT's, but I guess the flaw there is that it's SATT).

I'm also not entirely keen on the SWSS Avalanches remix taking the place of the original, I know Wire's said in the past he prefers the remix and it is one of their best remixes, but I really don't think it works in context.
Agree. Only one listen so far but Rosebud was well worth a place on the album. Much like dozens of b-sides and bonus tracks over the years.

I like the SWSS remix (as far as remixes go) but agree that the original needs to be prominent on the album and bung the remix elsewhere.

I’m sooooo looking forward to this release.

And it's still possible to rip everything from it and recreate a playlist of the original tracklisting.
That'd be a Frankenstein to look forward to being arsed to do this September.

Seriously. Manics B-Side Syndrome strikes once again. Very excited now to hear “Studies In Paralysis”.

My money's on that being really atonal and the precursor to Engage With Your Shadow.

Always thought the album was too long
Never thought it was too short

Turns out I was wrong

£9.35 postage for the 3 CD set plus t-shirt for me.

Although if you order the CD set and T-shirt as individual items the postage is only £6.10. Although the price of the items is £5 more.

Those are the ones. I bought Know Our B-Sides but always regretted not buying the superb Japanese re-releases. Things of beauty indeed.

Again, all these anniversary editions are never complete as far as I'm concerned, missing live tracks, remixes and other oddities, but it's nice to get them nevertheless. At least this has a bit more effort than most with the 'remixed' element.

It would be incredible.

I don’t think they’re going to ever play the album in full from what Nicky was saying, but there’s 10 or 11 songs that they could easily churn out.

In fact, I think only The Convalescent, Epicentre, Dead Martyrs and My Guernica are the KYE songs that have never been played live. I don’t think it’s a mammoth task to learn the album* tbh.

*I managed to play along with it in a week or two as a 16 year old when it came out.

Interested to see how this has effected songs, & what ones…

"The new mixes would bring a clarity to
each record, losing extraneous studio
effects and digital noise from the 'Solidarity'
songs and stripping away unnecessary
orchestration and embellishment from the
tracks that made up 'Door To The River'."

Was wondering the same. Considering that their mantra for KYE (and the reason Door to the River was eventually shelved apparently) was 'no strings' there isn't too much to remove in terms of 'unnecessary orchestration'. There are a few songs through which I'd say are almost totally 'extraneous studio
effects and digital noise'
