For those of you that have the Holy Bible vinyl picture disc, does your copy play well? Or maybe you haven't tried? Anyway, I get lots and lots of cracking noises from mine, even though swept carefully with one of those "static off" brushes. It's a bit too much to be "vinyl charm". Were there a normal black TBH vinyl release at the time?

My collection is available here: Manics collection. The page is in Swedish, and divided into two pages (numbered 1 2 at the bottom... you get it). I'm not sure the descriptions of the records are correct though (when you click them), I think everyone is allowed to edit it. Maybe I'll just take some pictures of the collection when I've got too much spare time...

unfortunately, that's the nature of picture discs. they are usually for show more than audio quality. there have been rumours of a black vinyl format of THB but one has yet to physically surface (ie a picture of said black vinyl record)

Yeah, I doubt it exists to be honest. Surely *some* sort of picture would have surfaced over the past 13 years!

It does exist. But they hardly ever appear. Sadly it's one thing my collection still lacks so I can't provide a photo. Just a promise that I have held one and blithered over the price.

It was about 5 years ago in Cardiff but I'm sure it was about £150 because the guy who owned the shop said it was the first one he'd ever had in and he seems to know his Manics stuff.

I really could just never justify paying £150 for one.

Hence I left it there for someone with a fatter wallet. I've only ever seen one more on Ebay, I have no idea what it went for in the end.

Q released a book of the top 100 album covers and it features The Holy Bible. Each entry has one page of infomation and pictures related to the cover and another page with a huge picture of the cover. They used the 12" album cover for THBs entry. The only difference from the normal cover is that the tracklist is split into two (an A side and a B side), so it certainly exists just harder to find then the rest of the albums for some reason.

I can only imagine how much that thing would pull in if it ever surfaced on eBay.

Actually, I can't.
