Bit fucking stereotypical that eh?

Anyway, it's not full of drunks now... it's full of smackheads.

Yeah was a great gig, but I was so dissapointed that I could not get in the front area where people were jumping despite being about 2 rows from where it was happening but I can't bring myself to push through people to get there. Was stuck next to a woman who only seemed to have ever heard Send Away the Tigers and only sang along to YLAINE and Autumn Song. I seemed to be the only person around me singing along to anything, and I even got funny looks that I knew the words to the JFPL songs.

I didn't think the support act were too bad, just indie by numbers, and I have seen a lot lot worse. Interestingly there album got a good review on planet sound today.

Of course the Manics were amazing and I got that heart in my mouth feeling I have had at very few gigs. Thought the new stuff sounded great especially when The Joke Sport Severed kicked in. The greatest hits bit was maybe a bit too obvious without sounding like a total manic cunt, was a shame there was a lack of the first three albums and a total absence of Lifeblood and Know Your Enemy. Having said that was great to hear Sorrow 16, No Surface all Feeling and the return of Tsunami.

Bit worried after Peeled Apples that the crowd wasn't really going to get going, but as soon as JCEQT came on, everyone went mental.
Agree with you about the drunk bastards , but had a fucking excellent time , first Manic's gig for me and really enjoyed the first set , I got separated from my other half during the second set , found out later he had moved back co's he was recording the gig and was concerned the mic lead was going to get pulled out .Haven't listened to it yet , but will let you all know if it has turned out ok.
We waited for the guy's to come out later , saw James signing stuff but coudn't get near .

Sorry, that didn't come out too well. I'm just not fond of having my leg shagged by men who only dance during songs from EMG and TIMTTMY, before having drinks thrown over me.
Otherwise, I'm all in favour of people of all ages being at gigs

I was stood right next to the speakers two nights at the Roundhouse and at Wolves and thought the Roundhouse was much louder.

Had a great time although it was my final gig of the tour so as soon as I got back to the hotel I could feel post-tour blues setting in.

Last night was the best second set I've seen....no Everything Must Go...plus Sorrow 16 and Autumnsong...I know a lot of people hate Autumnsong but it's got a great sing-along quality to it.

Slightly hazy memory but here it goes...

Nicky talked about sharing a hotel room with Richey at the Novotel and said that himself and Richey passed out (like lightweights) whereas James spent the whole night drinking. James then said "That was one rocking hotel that night. You know that when you stay at Wolverhampton Novotel you're there for a rock and roll gig!"

Brilliant gig, have never been so hot in my entire life tho. Was a great atmosphere although there were quite a few very drunk middle age men who thought they were watching rage against the machine but being 6foot 2 it didn’t bother me although would have bee a bit daunting for some.

I would also like to apologise to the small girl in front of me during the JFPL set who I was try not to squash.

As for the gig was one of the best I have been to.

Was great to see them using a variety of instruments especially Nicky using his Rickenbacker bass again. He looks so cool with that. In total I think they used over 15 guitars which for a guitar enthusiast like me was great.

Highlights included MASH, FPTL, ME and Sorrow 16

Hope everyone had a great time, look forward to the next manics wolves gig.

Would also like to say well done to Sean who drummed like a Trojan last nite and made the gig for me.

It'll take time to bed in, but this might just been the best I've seen them. Never seen James so energetic.

He mentioned a couple of times about how the civic centre is one of their favourite venues, is that true or does he say that at every gig? Wondering if that was his new "bit" for this tour.

Yes my friend he really would have meant it!! Like i said before when they played there on the Holy Bible tour it was a really amazing gig,it`s very hard to put into words,it was one of them highly charged and emotional gigs when every single punter at the gig is all as one,and the Manics Were at their peak as a fourpiece of course. Was anybody on here at that gig?
