I don't think there's such a thing as market when it comes to Manics gear. There are Manics fans who would probably buy everything or multiples of stuff, people who will pay whatever amount they have to to get something. There's no logic to most of it. The process of Ebay can either inflate or deflate prices, usually the latter. You can't say that something is only worth what it sells for. That's just some cheap rhetoric. In the last few months Lifeblood on vinyl has sold on ebay for various prices between £5 and £30 - so what's it worth? Motown Junk has sold there for about £20-£30 but I'm sure I saw it in the record Collector valued at much more than that and people will pay that price.

What rare Manics vinyl release has not become collectible and overpriced? (at least compared to the original list price. ) I can't think of one to be honest.

My point being is that when there's a certain "cult" status of a band logic and market theories kinda go out of the window. You could hazzard a guess that the manufacturer here has all but guaranteed that this will go up in value once the 300 copies "sell out" - that is if there's really only 300 copies. But, maybe it won't and maybe they'll barely sell all of them because the remixes are a bit pants aren't they?

I'm not going to buy it, but why shouldn't I question the value or post my view just because it's a sceptical one? Isn't discussing new developments the point of a forum?

Obviously no-one is forced to buy it, and I didn't have a go at anyone who wants to.

Back in '92 (I think) I ended up with umpteen vinyl copies of The Cure's Pictures of You, because they brought it out in black, green and purple 7" and 12" formats. At that time I was a Cure completist, and there were a lot of us about, but for the first time I remember feeling that there was no added value in most of the copies I was buying and feeling ripped off. Now I'm a lot older, and cynicism about multiple releases which don't add much or anything new has won over the obligation to buy in my case.

Same with New Art Riot EP, 1990 Release in orange/green the pink one is the most desirable, then 3 rereleases.

Haha ltd edition of 1,000 my arse

This remix LP is clearly for the DJ market & I think it's a pleasant change for a promo item to be made available at a reasonable price.

Why's it called "cooking, cleaning, flower arranging"? The lyric is "cleaning, cooking and flower arranging"....Oh well.

IT's called Cooking - Cleaning - Flower Arranging, isn't it? Which seems ok to me
