I'd say less than 200...

Didn't Lindz say the guestlist was 'massive'? It would be interesting to know how big it actually is.

That's my ticket arrived safe and sound. My flat-mate works for DF actually, I might be able to get a rough idea of how big the guestlist is. I know alot of people were asking to get their names papped on.

The music industry seems slow on the uptake on issues like this and then forces it down our throats when they come to a solution after the horse has bolted!
The "difficult economic times" has certainly influenced this gold rush. Even though we are supposedly out of them, this fact will take some time to filter through to gig-going public and I'm worried we're going to see every ticket holder consider acting like this for every act?
But by the time things are discussed and action taken it will be too late and too slow to implement. I agree with whoever said an anti-tout law would still take a year to become law.

But wouldn't that involve the bands's management and the ticket companies showing competence?

They managed it at Sheffield Leadmill on JDB's solo tour and that's a bigger venue than King Tut's.

Fair point. They fucked it up themselves then!
A free EP would be the only fair compensation for the loss and expense this has caused.

Has anyone gone to any undue expense? Not unless you made travel arrangements without a ticket, or paid a tout.

I pre-booked a flight before tickets sold out, but i have been lucky and got a ticket face value, i would have only lost £12.

Mine worked out really well considering I'm unorganised. Friend of mine booked a twin room in a b&b (£12.50 each, with breakfast), and travel was £10 return from Manchester (only catch is it's the National fucking Express - Neil Hannon lied to me ). Best of all, I got a ticket off ticketmaster, and not eBay.

Not really, lots of small venues do it. It requires a lot less, no tickets etc.

it's a bit rude to question secret sources isn't it?
