Lol, well it's not that hard when you only recycle a small number of the songs!

I still think they got the right idea with JFPL tour - play the new album in it's entirety, short break and then a greatest hits set. Would love to see them do this again with PFAYM.

I wouldn't, I found the predictability of the first set and the sedate predictability of the second set boring

& There was me expecting a rant from Wire about Gary Coleman.

You know what? If I go to a gig, I consider myself lucky just to have the privilage of seeing and hearing one of my favourite bands of all time performing songs that are so important to me personally.

But they do still come out with a few great things per gig and for the general ambience and banter it's worth the asking price. |

Aw, I was gonna make a similar post but decided not to. Thanks
There's a difference between not much liking a setlist and disliking a gig

I didn't post my opinion though it's actually not that dissimilar. The balance of new/hits/rare has always been a bit skewered and I've favour a few more rarely played songs. But it's always been like this. Holding out for Symphony or Tourettes is a bit silly in fairness.
I've a feeling James vetos a lot of songs though. He doesn't seem to like playing older numbers particularly those kinda songs that are very far from the music they write these days. The look of embarassment on his face while doing Born To End was hilarious though a bit sad. |
