As happy as I am with that, I've still only seen them do a full band version once. Gutted.

you screamed for sleepflower so they played it...you continue to shout it they realise..oh that was a joke so if you shout for anything else they'll ignore you. So the moans of the same old set all the time shall continue. They'll never take any notice again

out of interest was anything ever said in interviews or on-stage about the whole shouting for sleepflower thing?
i've seen them play it a few times but never heard any comment from them about it.
what made them finally cave?
i remember people shouting for it as far back as '97.
i'd love to listen to their discussions when deciding what random 'curio' to play!

I'd love to hear it as a full band version. acoustic thing is good for one time.

okay okay, I moan and so but when it comes to see them live I'd be absolutely satisfied with a setlist like this:

SWSS
Miss Europa
a couple of crap covers like WCH, Penny or MASH
The Everlasting acoustic
YSTS
Tsunami
Removables
Spectators Sony
and so on...

Slightly but only slightly outta topic I've always wonder why Sleepfower is so popular among the fans. It's not that great, is it? It's better than half of their always played songs though but that's completely other chapter.

I have to agree. My explanation is I just love it musically. Catchy, quick and dirty. But no, not their greatest.

yeah, but i think i clarified the point with "if you want to get on their tits". in more than one interview they've said that they really don't like playing The Everlasting, but always qualify it with "but the fans love it, so we keep playing it".

as Revol appears to be neither a favourite of the band nor the fans (and i look forward to the Revol obsessive taking me to task if they are reading this thread), shout away.....

I like Revol and a few of the songs the Manics seem to dislike (Love's Sweet Exile, for example), it usually makes me feel like a bad fan, paradoxically.

James sounds like a fox on Revol, I bet he's scared of his own sexual prowess.

Well ( ) I like neither Revol nor LSE. But I still prefer them to the worse songs like You Love Us or Let Robeson Sing or Everlasting etc... And Manics like them

so it makes three types of Manics fans:

1)the best: that's me
2)the average: don't likes Revol, likes YLU: Bradfield, Wire, Moore etc.
3)the worst: even likes Revol: Richian, franny etc.

They're all good songs. Should I even class myself as a Manics fan?
