I'm intruiged as to how much money has been spent already...and if a more viable option for distribution would be via digital means? It's a shame they want more money than you can afford and I'm guessing you've already tried most avenues.

I've always felt the Manics have never had much of a "behind the scenes" treatment, and some of the clips from that youtube trailor are very intriguing indeed.

We cannot distribute the film by any means at all until we pay for various rights. There is more information regarding this issue in this post from earlier in this thread.

hey but why not that fb campaign? I bet there would be quite few donors for that, including obviously me. I'm not expecting screening it in Poland but I'd get a dvd finally or maybe come to the UK to see this if it's in a good time. but still when you get the money, Polish fanbase is not huge, but very devoted

anyway talking back about that campaign, there should be someone who would take care about the legal actions (taxes, permissions etc. whatever is needed) and if this is doable then I ask again - WHY NOT?

I do hope this comes to fruition eventually. I know if I'm excited about seeing it, then the makers must be absolutely chomping at the bit to get it out there.

I understand, but if you were to end up distributing via digital means, surely that would reduce the cost in that department at a later stage, especially if you are having to stump up more cash for the rights than previously expected?

Either way, I hope you get there in the end. It'd be nice to see the film as it seems an endeavour of absolute love.

I'd have thought that Sony would have been glad for someone to have made an incredible film promoting one of their artists to a massive audience. How foolish of me
