it doesn't sound relevant, that's the vibe I'm getting currently.
As for lyrics, they do just sound like Nicky's thinking "ohh how to sound deep, here's some saddish words, BINGO"

still it's catchy, and real fun, i do like the music

Now I listen to it the day after I heard it for the first time, I suddenly realise it's very manics-like. I dont know what about it is so Manics, but for some reason it fits them. It sounds very sugar-like as well tho

I think it's a good first album track, as it feels like an intro, but I'm hoping there's better stuff on the album. I'm not that concerned as I've hardly agreed with their Single choices since throughout most of their output. A good classical album, like EMG, is what I'd like to hear most.

Causing much hilarity over at Buzzjack music forums including this priceless gem...

"Damn it, this is 'Stomp' by Steps. I'm assuming the band didn't bother playing this to anyone else before sending it to radio."

People are saying stuff like the lyrics are 'yuk' etc but I think they are typically Manics! Might as well say the lyrics to Methadone Pretty are yuk as well!

Its pretty good guitar driven pop, average lyrics with a catchy, lazy chorus. You can see it getting a fair bit of radio play from bbc radio 2 and maybe some afternoon/evening play from radio 1.

I hope for a little better from the album, but it is by no means, a bad single

I heard it today for the first time on radio 2, on first listen I like it, definitely a grower-good stuff

It pains me to hear James singing his heart out to lyrics that have no emotion behind them at all.
