Anyone fear that that it won't now sell a single copy over 17,000? I reckon by the weekend it'll be about 22,000-ish...be a #2 or even #3 album And probably slide down quick as nobody else will buy it hardly althugh hopefully the tour will make a few people go out and buy it.

We can beat Phil Collins! Are we mice or are we Manics fans?

Phil Collins will not make me cry.

I might go buy a copy of the standard CD as an early birthday present for a friend.

If everyone buys another copy for a present or a friend we might be in with a chance!

This may have been asked already but does the Amazon £3.99 and the £2.99 MFLOW downloads count towards the chart? If so I'll get downloading (legally)

A colleague I could have got a copy for has left unexpectedly. Ah well, I'm sure I can think of someone else!

I thought Phil Collins had quietly retired from the music biz? I still remember his video with all those Spitting Image puppets - horrible!

I'm sure the short-term cheap price is part of the intention of getting it high up the charts.

The short-term cheap price is a way to battle iTunes.

It is interesting that everyone assumed the 17,000 on the first day were all pre-orders. I was of the same opinion until I realised that Postcards was not even in the top 5 of the pre-ordered albums chart (apparently, a real chart) until the week before it was released (reached #5).

When SATT was released it was in the Pre-Ordered albums chart top 5 for about five weeks.
