back on topic;
surely they get bored with the same set for all these years.
its pretty much not changed (apart from the addition of new songs) since ppf tour no?
I might wear a red & black jumper in Newport.

it's alright, I'm not even a fan - but living in Milan, and near the stadium, all I see is red/black or blue/black - it's an automatic association!

the sad thing is this is them being more varied :/, the reason the setlists don't have more rotation is coz Nicky couldn't play most of it

I'm thinking Enola, La Tristesse, Masses, and full band Stay Beautiful to be added soon, but that's about it methinks.

Just back from Blackburn. Great night. BSP Were excellent as usual - I bought one of their brilliant 'British Tea Power' mugs.

The Manics started off like a house on fire - fantastic first half hour. The set seemed to dip a bit after that but picked up at the end. James started singing the words to 'Into The Valley' at the start of Motown Junk and Nicky tried to carry it on for a bit. Could do without Ocean Spray, Tolerate, Tsunami and Suicide, but we've all got our opinions!

There were more beer boys than I expected and it was a typical Saturday night crowd - a bit more pissed up than other nights but no problems.

poor Takk. Yesterday he said it was the worse setlist so far. It's happened again
No, this one was better, stay beautiful, and personally I adore SATT, so was much better than Kevin Carter...and motown junk was perfect too. The crowd's singing was immense, but not quite as good as last night, gig wise...hard to top liverpool. Only song I felt was out of place tonight was Everything Must Go actually, I would have appreciated that swapped with No Surface.

I know they've dropped lifeblood tonight, but tbh I think it's better they do than play empty souls...they should pick up 1985 or to repel ghosts or something.

Pretty good gig though, and BSP were immense - and were hanging around their merchandise stall afterwards, which was cool. We only got to see James afterwards through a fence, it was like feeding time at the zoo.

James quipped that Ian McCulloch had said he was Harry Secombe, Sean was Paul Merton and Nicky was Lily Savage
