I was expecting a Glastonbury or Reading & Leeds appearance given their 'Mass Communication' remit.

Don't know whether this has been mentioned elsewhere, but they're playing Oxegen.

To repeat what everyone else has been saying:
I'm gutted they're not at Glasto or Reading, I was sure I'd be seeing them at one of them.

Yeah surprised at Glasto, Reading is fine with the V exclusivity thing but Glasto would have been right up their street.

Ah i knew they would be playing Oxegen. Still not going as it's probably the worst line-up they have ever had. The place will be over run with morons

Can't be as bad as the line-up Lindz & I had to endure in 2003: The Music, Snow Patrol (when they were unknown), InMe, Saw Doctors (the only other band I enjoyed) Bell XI, Beth Orton, The Polyphonic Spree. How I didn't lose the will to live I don't know.

Both 2003 and this year look/looked pretty terrible, but there are a few decent bands on this year's bill (Primal Scream, Crystal Castles, Eels). As for 2003's, I don't mind Beth Orton, rest can fuck off.

Na, they've not got the whole 'mass communication' momentum to play Leeds.
They could have probably got away with headlining Latitude but Suede nabbed that demographic.

I was there too. Bowie was meant to play that weekend.. The Manics were great. I also enjoyed SFA and Supergrass, but can't remember much else.
