Agreed. It is annoying when a band stops though to be fair! I like Rancid, and the gap between Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall was 7 years! But they had solo projects which was good...I wonder if any of the band will have side-projects?

I would love to hear another James solo album!

A break of a year is what I'd want, with an album by James in between.

Long time no see, DM! Yeah, that's what I'd pretty much want as well. I'm sure the boredom will get James in the studio!

I'm just not a fan of his singing.

That's why I mentioned the possibility of solo albums, Manic Street Preachers took a break but James Dean Bradfield didn't. Still, the gap between gigs for the end of Past, Present And Future and the XFM one isn't that much more than the gap between Millenium and Cuba or Lipstick Traces and Lifeblood.

Good thing, imho they struggled making 7 decent songs in Postcards... 70 in a year might have just been the nail in the media coffin riding off the NME Award.

I love James' honesty, he is brilliant in interviews and always really interesting to listen to.

Thanks.

Maybe there will only be a years break, after all he didn't definately say 2 years off.

It's not the new material I will miss over the 2 year period, but I will miss seeing them live.

I can't help but suspect they are taking this break to reassess their career, as the sales for PFAYM were crap, especially the singles. Maybe they are gonna call it quits. I hope not.

Sales for Postcards have been pretty good as far as I was aware!
