I've already requested the day off work anyway.

Ok, thanks. i hope the cardiff one is happening too - not just manchester. x

Give this a shot I think, at the very least as a Monday gives us a long weekend, got a bunch of holiday to take by the end of the year anyway.

Assume Manc-wise it's at Market St, rather than the Arndale store? Been to a gig before at the Market St one, but have also seen sets advertised at Arndale...

Changed on the train... This really is starting to rule out blacked up military statue costume.

Possibly, I'm pretty sure National Rails Terms Of Carriage might not tolerate that so much. Where there's a will there's a way though!

Actually, I'm determined to just snub them on this one. This year they've clashed with Suede, Pulp and now BSP. Know Your Fanbase boyos. A quiet afternoon in the pub in Liverpool is much more my scene. I'm getting too old for this rushing around like a headless featherboa.

You're a braver human being than I shall ever be. I guess they didn't really take into account BSP gigs as part of a tour and in another city which is fair enough this time.

I'm still wanting to end Wire for saying 'If you have tickets for Suede you'll be disappointed' though. Braver? Or just older? I've done my time in Wire following and as worthwhile and lovely as it is, my poor poor knees!

It was a little rude to Suede who they claim to like. He should have been burnt.

TMI with the knees, we're not all THAT loyal to Wire!

Haha. Too many gigs equals mashed up knees. Without the bonus of even being tall! Shame! My queueing days are (largely) over.

Hee hee, I know the feeling, I'm too young to have bad knees, and being tall also opens avenues to back problems so it's not that amazing.

I really can't believe it's necessary to queue up in the middle of the night for wristbands; I'm sorry but I can't believe the Manics are that popular here. And the store is BIG - do we know what the capacity for the event is? Call me a part-timer but I can't see me going before a time with an 8 in it, and I'm local.

how does the wrist band thing work, i mean...i remember us queueing for hours at virgin for lipstick traces but i cant see how a wristband would be any different...apart from the fact you get a wristband?!
