It will be. I went to see Tim Minchin there last December. I was frozen. The arena was warm but inside the o2 was very cold. Trying to decide on a hotel near by. I know this will finish late and it will be a nightmare getting out of the o2.

Has anyone booked a room at an Etap hotel? I made the reservation earlier this week and I've got the confirmation email and everything like that, but the money hasn't been taken out of my account yet. I was just wondering if that's a standard thing when you book a room at an Etap and they take your money when you get there or something, or if I should get in touch with them about it? Wouldn't want to get to London and end up with nowhere to stay
Quite a few hotels do that, sometimes they take a deposit from your bank as well. But, you will have somewhere to stay when you go to London, they usually ask you to pay upfront when you book in or when you leave

Yeah, most hotels charge when you get there, or when you leave.

Oh OK, thank you! I was just a bit confused as I'd put all my card details in and everything but they still haven't charged me for it. It's the first time I've ever done this kind of thing; I'll know for next time!

In return I'd be happy to pay my share of the costs of gas and lodging and would also return the favor by opening my house for visitors to stay (and can play tour guide if requested haha) if anyone decides to take a holiday to the Washington DC area (I live about 10 miles out of the city in Virginia). Besides the show itself the only thing I want to check out in London is the new Supreme store in Soho; other than that I can go with the flow of what has already been planned by those 'adopting' me. Again if there are no responses and I roll solo it's fine but it would certainly be easier to link up with people who know where they're going instead of trying to develop an itinerary from scratch. As my plane ticket isn't purchased yet the arrival and departure dates/times might vary slightly but I wanted to post this to see if anyone was interested, if so just shoot me a PM thanks!

I finally had time to do a little research and after tallying up all of the projected transportation and lodging costs (in addition to the plane ticket from the US) to do this solo I'm slowly (and regretfully) coming to the conclusion that it's looking like way too much of an investment to follow through on. So I may have one standing ticket for sale once I receive it.

Hunter, please think about it again! I've been travelling and attending shows on my own for 7 years now, and yes, sometimes I feel sad and lonely, but then I come home and think ''Fuck me, what a great experience!''.
If it's just because of money, then forget what I'm saying and forgive me, but if it's the going solo part that frightens you, please think again, don't let it prevent you from having a great time!

Does the 02 have parking? I don't really want to drive down but it'll be cheaper than trains / hotels. Plus then I don't have to walk far in my dressed up Manics look!
Really hope all the songs are full band and not James doing an acoustic of one or two tracks. Really want to hear The Everlasting full band version live!

Yes, it does, it's best to pre-book it which you can do through The o2's website and it's about £15
