Ha!
See, I'm a student, so is have never bothered with this anyway, despite the fact it is a very pretty thing. I don't get why not including all the b-sides didn't occur to them. Personally I feel that they're own recorded b-sides (excluding covers and remixes where royalties are concerned) were priority, and all these tracks should be on there at least!!

You do have to wonder how cluttered these decks get.

Well, they've cleared them in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2009. I hope they've finished clearing them decks now.

Well yes, the decks should be pretty clear by now then. Time to come with some new ideas perhaps?

That's probably the premise of their post-NT meeting...they sit around in nicky's house, staring out the windows, until nicky says 'how about we clear the decks'. The others nod and they go down the pub.

So desperate for cash I sold the Tolerate, YSTSFMY and Tsunami singles the other week for a pittance in the hope of selling more and re-consolidating my collection with the box set (genuinely thought no-one would be so stupid as to release an incomplete collection). Think I'll be buying them back now, certainly won't be selling any more,I'd rather live off beans! Just do not understand the logic of this at all, especially considering some of the CD1s only have one fucking b-side on them.

Get a grip. That would require thought and effort and result in value for money, and that is not what NT stands for.

This really shouldn't bother me but the more I think about it the more annoyed I am with the Manics. Many of us have supported the band for years, even when people gave them a good slagging around Lifeblood. First they shaft us with the Postcards box-set and now this. Someone mentioned earlier about the U2 Achtung Baby box set and that completely pisses over this offering and is half the price. I hoping that the band had little input into this collection, but sadly I suspect they simply don't give a shit and leave this stuff to Sony Marketing. That said the price of box-sets this year is crazy. I don't mind paying a little bit extra for a box set but the prices this year are way OTT - anything over £75 seems to be the price.
