Doing nothing to damage the theory that Q give high ratings to acts that run cover stories with them...

Is that in the new Q or the one that Great Magazines won't let us see?

Hah! The new one I'd imagine

But you are rignt MJ - I also look forward to trying to read the new Coldplay album review, and the Achtung Baby re-issue review that the Q writers no doubt had to write one handed as they furiously bashed one out.

Well, in fairness, someone has to make up for Uncut's three-star review of Mylo Xyloto...

Quote:
Deadline challenges mean Uncut is unable to hear a final full version, but it's safe to say that "Paradise", with its gooey sentiment and Flake ad strings, won't convert the haters.
A safe three stars and an admission that he hasn't listened to the album. Yes, Piers Martin gets paid to write for Uncut.

Yeah but with Q Magazine, the album would get automatic three stars for being recorded by Coldplay. It's just a case of if it gets four or five stars. I've not even heard the album to comment on how good it is, but it just means I can't trust the review at all given that the gave X&Y 5! X&Y?

It would have had 2 in my book. It would have been a weak album by anybody's standards.
