he really knows his local bands, he seemed to know everyone i mentioned by first name!
he was really interested im my holy bible programme, said he'd not seen one since '94 and that looking at it made him feel really old.
nicky laughed when i told him james had said that!
nicky just grinned at me alot, made me promise to use glittery nail polish to preserve his signature on the back of my guitars and laughed 'ill see you next week when im in here shopping'!

and if you're in the que hoping to get other stuff signed then security WILL refuse you.
however, the band are more than happy to sign it for you.
i was telling people with guitars, posters etc to wait til the end so you can personally ask the band to do it, then security let you through on the bands say so.
talk to the staff - they'll understand.
Nice one you managed to get loads signed go you

Well that was a shambles! queued for 4 hours, band showed up late and the security were a bunch of shits. Couldnt really get a photo with them either as it was like a conveyor belt.

Quote of the year. At least the band remembered who I was and James is the lucky owner of a couple of my solo albums.

Was just looking out the window and thinking 'Glad I didn't have to drive to and from Brum today' actually! So even if I had made the effort I probably would have still left entirely disappointed apart from being able to say 'I met the Manics for a nano-second!'

A bit disappointing in Cardiff - got the polaroid book and NT Special Edition signed but didn't get a hello and they didn't look up, but it's understandable with the day they were going to have. Would've preferred something a little less rushed. So, have still yet to properly meet them; oh well, hopefully next time.

I went into Spillers for the first time today, and bagged myself a Faster/Holy Bible National Treasures poster for nothing (HMV had run out) - big props to the staff in there for that. I was hoping to buy something in there, as I liked the idea of supporting the place, but they didn't have the albums I wanted in stock. Just asked if I could buy one of the posters, which they were giving away with album purchases, but they let me take one anyway. A Sony rep was in there as well, saying they may do their next signing in Spillers, though I expect that was more a wish than a solid plan.I did ask him if he meant sometime soon by that, but then he mentioned the break.

One of the staff in Spillers did tell me the purchases James last made in there, but I've completely forgotten now. Nobody I'd heard of, but she said no to the Sony rep's query as to whether he'd bought a Vaccines record.

I'd have probably had the same thing happen to me in Brum and be crying again tonight! I was at work and able to make sure I was there to get my CD's so happy with that. Driving to Brum can be a bit stressful so I'm glad I decided not to bother attempting it in the end. Glad you got your stuff signed!

Cardiff was nice today, didn't have to wait too long, security were pretty nice to me. Managed to get the deluxe edition and polaroid book (wasn't expecting to see that there!) signed by all 3 and a picture and give the band the gifts/letters I had for them. So good job done

Fingers crossed, even if it is in the distant future!
