Well Parlophone had paid more to get Coldplay to #1 on the marketing chart. I was just happy to see it on the top shelf and secretly hoping that some muppet would play Roses In The Hospital on Radio Asda.

Ordered my album from Manics' store on Saturday, and it still hasn't arrived.

I'm mad at HMV at the moment. First and foremost: WHERE IS MY TITD SINGLE? I ordered the deluxe bundle in September, got dispatched on 31.10 arrived today - without TITD. And the package looks awful, the book is bent over, it did arrive very fast but I will ask for a replacement asap. I'm not the only one as I read a few comments earlier, so there's something fishy about the distribution of this album. Crap quality DVD, no-quality lipstick/mirror in the box, no TITD - Sony fucked this one up pretty much!

I got my HMV order today. TITD was in the package but I don't know how it managed to stay in there as the glue was so dry that the parcel was open!

Got my HMV deluxe version, which is beautiful. love the fact that it's the same style/size as the other two albums they recently brought out.

i WISH they re-release all their albums in hard back format, in the same fashion of cd1/cd2 of bsides they brought out in japan.

i also got the TITD single. good addition to the collection, though i hoped it wasnt just a sleeve.

still no Q Vinyl though. :/

Still no Q vinyl. A plague on all your houses Bauer media
...however after tracking the deluxe cd/dvd set and the Box set, from Sweden-Germany-Los Angeles to Melbourne.
Having to then get it re-directed cause the UPS driver attempted delivery while I was at work-finally I have it.
The cd/dvd versions' design and layout is fantastic. Some excellent pics in there!
The boxset is also great quality-nice gold embossing. The artwork for the cd sleeve's isn't so good IMO. It looks like they've scanned old sleeves instead of using the original artwork.Shame there isn't a booklet of some description with the photos used in the cd/dvd version but the poster is cool. The vanity mirror and lipstick is pretty tacky. No logo? dunno what they were thinking there. Haven't listened to the audio yet.
Worth it?....I say yes-wallet says no.

well, i am now on day 7 of the 7 - 14 days that they said i should take delivery of it as per the last mail i got from them. i am pretty sure that people were saying it landed at them via second class mail, so for you and i there's a very good chance that it will land via surface mail. in 2012.

on the upside, it means that in a worst case i am only a further 7 days away from firing off another mail at great magazines.

I disagree, Stay Beautiful is one of my all time fave Manics songs but it just sounds wrong on here, dunno why but it seems to have lost something in the remastering process. Probably just me though.

Well, I'm not joining you.

I think it sounds fresh and it's a pity that the other GT tracks (apart from Love's Sweet Exile) don't seem to have been given the same level of tweaking.

Just got my Deluxe Edition from HMV today as well. Another nice hardbound book-styled package. Will give it a listen later.

Been listening to this in the car the last few days and attempting to sing along (seriously need some practise before the O2). Mostly brings back lots of great memories (esp TIMTTMY era - don't really listen to that album now, but it soundtracked me going away to uni) and really enjoyed listening to all the singles in chronological order. Kind of a shame there's no JFPL representation and argh I really can't stand that piano on Found that Soul. But blimy... not a bad back catalogue on the whole, is it?!
