well actually it seems not as the big contents sticker on the back of the box (over the shrinkwrap) has it listed in the contents!! although it's not printed in the contents on the actual box!!

Ok it's all opened now ....numbered 0596 and the only thing really I'm disappointed in (apart from the big dents in the black cardboard fillers either side of the cd singles) is the lipstick & mirror (bog standard round silver coloured metal in a black velvet pouch)....I wouldn't have minded if they were cheap, tacky & plastic if only they had been branded!!

Hello, after reading this phorum for years (the best way to be informed about the Manics world if you live in a country where the fucking flamenco is what people understand as good music...), I have finally registered and my first messagge is to tell you about my experiences with the NT release:

1) HMV deluxe version with This Is The Day Single: received today, no problems, nice package and single in perfect state.

2) Signed Play version: received yesterday, no problems also.

3) NT Box: an adventure with a happy ending. I received an email the day of the release announcing a delay of a few days for some production problems or a shit like that. I emailed them to cancel my order if they donīt give me a proper explanation and they answered my order was going to be dispatched immediately. And I have just collected it, and includes the Motown Junk single! So happy with this part, then. Letīs take a listen and Iīll tell you about the B-sides remasters.

4) The fucking Q vinyl: this is the worst service I have ever seen, after one month fighting with their customer service I donīt really know if they are evil or simple idiots. I preordered the fucking item the same day they put it on sale. My credit card was charged one month ago, on the day I assumed they were sending me the pack. And since then I have emailed them 4 times already and everytime they had an excuse until the last one that was they were out of order due to the great demand! Now Iīm waiting for their answer to my last mail, in which I remember these fuckers we had a contract, I have paid for it and the only thing they had to do is send me the fucking magazine, and they havenīt been able to do such this simple thing. For Godīs sake, Iīm not asking for them to save the euro, only to take the fucking magazine, packing it and sending to the man who has given them his money!

So, hello everybody and fuck all related with Q and the idiots who rules their customer service!

Edit: Number of my box 666!

Good news...my brother and mother saved up to buy me this! Bless 'em!

Bad news...my box is ripped, dented, cracked, worn. Disgusting. How utterly lazy of them not to put it in a proper box! Pics soon.

If it had been one of these I probably would have bought it - not that they care whether I bought it or not, but it just annoyed me so much that they didn't even bother. Why have the idea to put in a compact, quite obviously relating to old merch, then not see it through to actually customise it?! It wouldn't have been difficult... It's those little details of that and the packaging of the CDs etc, just feel it's such a shame that it could have been a really beautiful thing, but they just couldn't quite do it.

Thanks Vincent Vega. Funniest 1st post ever. Made me choke on my coke when you started to rant about the Q vinyl.

I didn't complain at all to the Q Vinyl people and mine turned up.
Maybe they're punishing the people who complained?

Is this a trick question?

Have you not heard of the Stay Beautiful promo mirror & powder pack from the early days?

box arrived. They packed it without protection and without a fragile sticker on the outside sooo guess what i got? A smashed box. Yip. They've either thrown it around or put something heavy on top which collapsed the lid ripping the side..it's not a huge tear but it's there. They did put an oh so helpful *this way up* sticker on it. How decent of them.

Contents are fine apart from the squashed paper insert thing on the sides. The lipstick has the name Barry M on the lid. I'd like to meet the person that decided to include these magazine reject items in the box. Cos even by those standards it's piss poor. I've got an a-ha lighter that is cheap looking but i like it because...and here's the trick.. IT HAS THE BAND NAME ON IT. It's not rocket science is it???

Mine's a Christmas present, but I'm going to have to check it out as soon as it comes to make sure it's in one piece!

Amuses me still that there are 14 Lifeblood-era and 15-SATT-era non-album tracks and only 5 are represented in the boxset.

As a collector I have to say this is fucking abysmal. I concur with everything that everyone else has already said plus the artwork on the individual CD sleeves looks like it's just been copied on a photocopier that's running low on toner. Cheap tat. I would say it should have been called 'The Complete CD1s' considering the amount of b-sides that are missing but it doesn't even have the Heavenly You Love Us disc which means it is incomplete. Really quite appallingly bad for that much money, tantamount to a scam you'd expect from an eBay con-artist.

That is a near perfect description of the condition of mine. Ģ165 and they couldn't be bothered to protect it with 20p's worth of bubble wrap. To make matters worse, I scratched my copy of the New Art Riot e.p. when playing it.
