The music's a bit like Removeables near the end. With the acoustic strumming.
I still prefer Engage With Your Shadow. But this isn't... all that bad.

Obviously as a singles band they're now so far away from being a commercial entity, at least compared to their own heyday, that it hardly seems to matter anymore. How many people other than the true fans are ever going to hear songs like 'Genius'? Thus the influx over the past few years of Nicky led songs as b-Sides. Always interesting, nice to hear a different side to the manics, no matter what your opinion of each track is. At least they are still keeping the b-side alive.

I prefer 'Genius' to 'Engage'.

so the true fans are the ones who were either fortunate with the HMV pre-order or bought the huge box? guess i'm just a false fan, then

tbh, i long ago stopped giving a fuck about when bands pulled shit like this. on the one side the bands and the labels cry about "declining sales" (last figures i saw said billions still being made from sales of CDs), on the other they go and make a product that, thanks to the internet, they can now sell and ship worldwide, yet they go and limit the availablity of it.

if they make something and release it but don't want too many people hearing it, fine, they can fuck off with it.
